Le Basilic is Coral Beach’s formal, fine dining restaurant. Recognized with a AAA Five Diamond distinction, this restaurant offers traditional French and Mediterranean dishes curated by Chef Henri Charvet, Maître Cuisinier de France. Anyone else googling Maître Cuisinier? Us too. Essentially, it’s the most sought-after title that chefs aspire to have…once part of this extremely exclusive chef’s VIP club, you’re a celeb in the french cookery world, let’s put it that way. Oh and there’s a live pianist. Romantic, right?!
Fancy something a little more…Mexican? Try La Joya, with its casual atmosphere, classic drinks and authentic Mexican dishes. After your meal, visit the tequila lounge for a cheeky tasting while clapping along to a festive Mariachi band. All the Mexican vibes. If you’re up for sampling seafood with vistas of the Caribbean sea under a beautifully intricate palapa, Isla Contoy is the one for you. Italian calling your name? NEW! Grand Fiesta Americana’s newest arrival to the food scene is Nah K’aax (from the Maya language meaning ‘The Jungle House’) This is Coral Beach’s new, boho-chic Mexican-Asian fusion restaurant. Décor is crafted by local artisans, the vibe is beachy, chilled, low-key and authentic. Be sure to enjoy the bi-weekly fire show on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 9pm, or simply vibe to the DJ who plays there every night. We’ve heard on the grapevine both the sushi and lobster tacos are to die for! Run—don’t walk.
Ultimately, this is a foodie’s paradise and we can guarantee that your tummy will never rumble.
